This homeowner was tired of a dark, dreary kitchen from decades ago that was closed off from the rest of the main floor and wanted a white, bright kitchen that was open to the living and dining room. While maintaining the structural integrity of the home, we widened the existing openings, added a large island with lots of storage, replaced the cabinetry, moved the stove slightly to allow for additional workspace and added lots of lighting. Additional seating at the island provides a place for grand children to sit and help Nana while she's working in the kitchen.
