Caledon Bathroom Renovation
One of our favourite projects of 2019. This bathroom underwent a serious transformation.
With 3" x 6" Subway tile running throughout the tub surround, we knew we wanted to make our Niche pop with a little extra dazzle. Adding a razor/soap shelf, and flipping the Niche on a herringbone truly adds a statement to this classic and timeless shower surround. With chrome stainless steel trim wrapping the niche, it matches the chrome found throughout the rest of the bathroom's faucets. With a half pane of glass, this bath tub is deep and also inviting.
Our bathroom floor we installed 8" x 8" porcelain patterned floor tiles to add to the vintage/rustic feel the rest of the home holds. A beautiful black and white floor to match our white subway tiles and charcoal grout.
Behind our bathtub once stood a small Ikea linen pantry. Now, it boasts a beautiful custom made built in with open shelving for our homeowners to store their belongings. Our lowest shelf took into account their laundry hamper, while the others serve as perfect openings for baskets to add the decor feel to this bathroom.
Finally, our favourite detail.. Our clients' home has a rustic feel, and we knew with all the new white tile, we wanted to incorporate some wood. There was no better way to tie together this bathroom than to install a gorgeous solid Walnut board finished with Rubio Monocoats 'Pure' natural oil.
