A complete gut of this 1910 2-family was required to open up the floor plan and sure up the structural integrity of the building. We reused some of the old materials where possible, for example we reused the 2" thick siding for the mudrooms and islands. Also, we refinished the old growth pine floors on the upstairs unit. The downstairs unit was too far gone to save.
