As developer and designer, my role in building this gorgeous Cape Cod spec home was a balancing act. Finishes for this 4500 SF Transitional home were to be beautiful while I was to be cost conscious. I was careful to keep a consistent design flow from space to space, without relying on the repetitive finishings as most "spec" builders tend to do. Details were not spared. Wainscot, coffered ceilings, crown molding and other wood elements were carefully designed for each room. No "spec" fixtures for this elaborate home. Interesting chandeliers, pendants and sconces were installed in every common area and bedroom. The result was sale before the home was complete for the highest price a spec home had sold for in the community until that time.
