Cape cod design is characterized by a steep roof with side gables, a small roof overhang, and clapboard or shingle siding with contrasting trim. All of the homes featured in this project were clad with vinyl siding -- either clapboard, beaded Dutchlap, or shake. Other traditional trim and accessories are also made with vinyl or other polymeric products, like the shutters, gable vent covers, and dentil molding.
