Catalina Foothills Renovation

Beneath Finger Rock in the central Catalina Foothills: Spiral Architects was requested to assist in the renovation of an early 1980s contemporary home on a site with unparalleled mountain and city views. With initial drawings already permitted, Spiral suggested minor plan changes to improve the design, while allowing construction to move forward. The Owners then commissioned Spiral to re-cast the exterior elevations in a more cohesive, traditionally-based manner, drawing inspiration from Tucson’s significant architectural design heritage. The renovated home improves the Owners’ mountain and city views, elevates the elegance and sophistication of the interiors, all while fitting into the landscape in a manner subtly reminiscent of Tucson’s best examples of historically-inspired residential architecture.
