Cedar Siding Restoration + Addition Blend
Project Goal: Preserve and revive the home’s original cedar siding after two decades of weathering, while seamlessly blending new cedar from the addition so the exterior reads as one cohesive, intentional finish.
Process: We started with a thorough power wash to remove years of buildup, including heavy pollen that had soaked into the cedar. After the siding dried, we completed targeted repairs and stabilized any failing areas. Next, we applied an extreme-bond peel-bonding primer to lock down weathered fibers and create a reliable base. From there, we built protection and color with multiple coats of a semi-transparent, water-based stain—blending the original cedar with the new addition for a cohesive, refreshed exterior.
