The after picture shows that we've designed this kitchen to its max potential for functionality and space. We have removed the peninsula and installed an island. Our wall cabinets now go to the ceiling, and we have added a deep pantry for more storage.

We use up more of the kitchen wall space and added a desk area for two people. A microwave integrated in the wall cabinet is a great idea for those who use this appliance frequently.

The kitchen countertop is also Caesarstone Canada but the colour used is #5380 Emeradoro.

We designed the upper cabinet above the fridge to have a flip up door for easier access, built in with matching doors.

By allowing space for the fridge within the kitchen area, it is now a more functional space. The fridge, stove and sink easily accessible when working in the kitchen.

The island space allowed for a bar fridge which is a great storage space when entertaining. We also finished the island with matching door pilasters at each end.

We designed the pantry to divide the desk area from the kitchen, and to look like a furniture piece by using decorative baseboard. Using longer hardware from Hettich worked nicely because of the tall upper cabinets.
