It is not everyday I get to design a beautiful contemporary home in Charleston South Carolina. Many of my clients enjoy the traditional low country vernacular you see and fall in love with in this part of the country. It was a welcomed change to show off my contemporary design ability. The construction technology incorporated into the home was seen almost immediately. The high R value in the insulation materials along with the triple pane low-e glazing has kept energy bills to a minimum. Liquid applied waterproof membranes were used at the ground floor and walls to ensure that the building envelope was impervious to the constant elements in coastal South Carolina.
