The clients wanted an economical but all-encompassing overhaul that would allow the whole family to be seated and eat together, and so that people cooking could see and speak to those in the living room.

Kon-Strux Developments pulled out the wall between the existing dining room and kitchen and designed the new space around this expanded layout. The design doubled the house's dining capacity with the Rome coffeehouse-inspired stools along the counter top, and vastly expanded the kitchen storage with multiple chic but economical cabinets below a granite counter top along the dining nook wall. The kitchen area is now open to the family room and the whole main floor feels enormous in comparison to the "before" of this project.
