An homage to several Stickley pieces from the early 20th century, this tall chest of drawers features doweled through-tenons, copper and walnut inlay, and 6 different types of dovetail joinery. The carcass is figured cherry with gorgeous natural mineral streaking. One of my favorite things about the Arts & Crafts movement is that the lines are clean and simple, with an emphasis on superb craftsmanship. The joinery on this piece emulates that of the period at the beginning of the 20th century, meaning this piece is constructed to last for generations. This was one of the more technically challenging pieces I've made.
