Chicago Renovation & Addition

A prairie-style sub-station built in the 1920s in the heart of the city finds new life as a single family home with the addition of two floors to meet the needs of the family, light wells along the sides of the building to add natural light, and geothermal engineering. The historic facade was preserved as much as possible and blends with the new contemporary addition and interiors.
