The sculptural base of the Chocko lamp is feminine with a suggestion of cubist influence and mid century modern ceramics. Crafted by hand, the dimpled surface shows the artist's touch. thin white stripes individually applied add more texture and insure that each piece is unique. Small in stature, large in personality, the Chocko lamp is ideal bedrooms offices and other spaces that don't want to feel over crowded.

Inspiration for my lamps comes from the simplicity of Scandinavian style and mid-century modern design.
Using no tools other than my hands and fingers I have created the soft geometry of this handmade ceramic base. This coil and pinch technique results in a piece that is sculptural with a softly textured surface. Squeezing out the white lines by hand adds some additional texture and makes each lamp unique.
I named this fun, medium sized lamp, "Chocko". It has a shape that is a combination of geometric elements and possesses a slightly cubist feel. I could imagine it on a side board or a pair of nightstands. It is a good scale for smaller homes.

Each lamp is cast by hand from a mold that I make from my original creation. This means you can order a pair and they will match.
