Classic Bathroom
Beauty and functionality was created in the bathroom reno, with classic elements, put together in a new way.
Due to the layout of this 12' x 6' bathroom, the shower/tub combo had to stay, but the client wanted it to look contemporary, yet classy and very functional for the family.
I designed a bathroom that included a beautiful, yet functional white vanity, in a classic French style, with a double vanity marble sink. It is topped with two contemporary mirrors, and transitional style vanity light fixtures. The polished chrome faucets by Moen added the right touch of bling and durability at the same time.
Drama was created with the unique floor pattern. Durable porcelain tile was installed, with a twist....marble and glass mosaic trim was added to floor, instead of the walls. Only the back wall was tiled for continuity with the glass enclosed bath/shower.
The old shower wall, that divided the bathroom was replaced with a custom glass shower wall, and sliding glass barn door. This opened up the space in a current and practical way. This feels like an open shower, while have the benefit of a tub as well. A large rain head shower faucet was installed upon request.
LED pot lights have been installed as well, for better illumination.
Benjamin Moore's Metropolitan grey was chosen for the walls, for a soft finish to the white and grey in the rest of the room, and in harmony with the rest of the home. The finishing touches, like fluffy towels with a fringed bottom, French style accessories, and touches of purple add warmth to the cool palette.
