This kitchen used to be stuck in the 90's with white washed cabinets and mauve tiles. The old kitchen was not an enjoyable place to work in. Although there were a lot of cabinets, neither the cabinet layout nor the appliance placement lent itself to ease of use nor to be functional. The soffit in the back wall area also made the kitchen feel less open. Existing white appliances had to be integrated into the redesign. The new kitchen feels airy and open with white perimeter cabinets and with a dark island that serves as a focal point. It also meets all the functional needs of the client. We even included a paper shredder in the island!
