Haleh Design worked with architect John Newfield on the French Chateaux facade and space planning for this 28,000 sq. foot spec house built in Potomac, Maryland by Niroo Masterpieces. the project presented the opportunity to introduce the most outstanding products and finishes in the world. Working with the sweeping space of the foyer, for example, required a keen awareness of scale and proportion. The 20 feet wide dome rising 32 feet above the marble floor demanded massive projections to effectively communicate the lush detail of the ceiling treatment, frieze, and mouldings, and the magnitude of the 10-foot-wide Schonbek chandelier. Haleh faux marbleized the columns, accenting the capitals and bases with antiqued gold. She installed hand-painted, hand-embroidered silk panels on the stair landing. For the couple, collectors of antique and contemporary Lalique and Herend pieces, the acquisition of singular accessories such as the limited edition Herand urn, one of two in the world, (the other is in the Herend Museum in Hungary) and the Lalique Chene table, was a priority.
