DMVF Architects were delighted to work on this beautiful modernist style 1930’s two-storey semi-detached house in Dublin 6. A complete refurbishment & a two storey extension were carried out on the existing property. Our client’s brief was to provide a stylish yet functional home for a young family. They envisioned a bright & contemporary open plan living space that would incorporate the classic elements of a typical 1930’s home.
DMVF worked to the client’s brief to design a bright & sophisticated open plan living, kitchen & dining area, boasting polished concrete floors & Zoffany Bone Black cabinetry. The statement cabinetry is detailed with antique brass handles for an elegant & classic finish. The Statuario Quartzite stone backsplash matched with the large island countertop adds a bright & airy texture to the kitchen. The doorway leading out from the living space is fitted with contemporary Crittall doors which allow natural light to flood into the kitchen.
