Colonial Restoration
This is a fascinating historic restoration we are working on. To find more about the project, please visit the website: www.cloverfieldspreservationfoundation.org. You can also subscribe to our monthly newsletter, where we inform anyone interested about the discoveries the architects, historians and archaeologists are making every day.
Kimmel Studio - Buildings & Gardens is in charge of both the architecture and the landscape architecture necessary to restore this colonial era home. The original house was built at the beginning of the eighteenth century. Since then, it has undergone several transformations, including a renovation in the high Georgian fashion done toward the end of eighteenth century. The project is in its early stages. We are currently analyzing the house and the site with the help of a team of prestigious historians and archaeologists. Once the site is thoroughly investigated, we will use our expertise with colonial and early American architecture to design historically appropriate features for the house and the gardens.
