This yard started as a dirt hillside and dirt lower area. We added a decomposed granite patio with comfortable, casual seating with a fire pit that converts to a table for drinks and casual dining. Large paver stones create paths to and from the fire pit patio to additional covered seating and artwork areas. (The hillside is in the process of being planted in this photo) The red flowering plants in that encircle the patio are 'kangaroo paws'. Colorful varigated lantana spills over the retaining walls. Red carpet roses, several fruit trees, succulents and California native plants round out the design.
