The design of this residence presented exceptional challenges. The homeowners found a gem in the site of a 1960s triplex: they selected it for its proximity to Gore Creek. The 2,000-square-foot home, was torn down to make room for their new, 4,500-square-foot home. In order to maintain the intimate relationship with the creek (something not favored by the zoning code) and maximize the development rights, the new home had to be built on the original, smaller building footprint and foundations.
