“I think every kid in the seventies watched Michael Brady (the architect, father on The Brady Bunch),” Terry Jenkins, of Terry Jenkins Architect (Design + Build) says of his first exposure to architecture. “All of my family members were trades-people; carpenters and electricians… But my father wanted more for me, so I went on to study architecture. Although I’m an architect, I still enjoy the entire building process.” F So it was no surprise to Terry’s fiancée, Julee Terilli that Terry had such a hands-on role in the design and construction of their own home. F “He’s laid every floor, installed every beam,” Julee explains. “He’s done it all himself.” F And all has come together to create a luxurious, yet warm and cozy, home that rests on three acres in Yellow Springs. Terry pulled inspiration from one of his favorite places, Carmel, California while designing the retreat.
