The original kitchen had a wall parallel to where the island now stands. After tearing that down to open up the room we then designed this kitchen with a new efficient layout for the appliances and built maple cabinets to accommodate the various functions needed.
Just out the window and across a field is the Assebet River. Concord has three rivers. So with that as an inspiration we drew out a design that reflects the confluence of the local rivers. We then carved and painted that design on the cabinet doors
