Hired by Dallas Eakins and Ingrid Kavelaars, they're winter home while Dallas was training the Edmonton Oilers, we were hired to create a warm inviting space for Ingrid and their two girls to call home-away-from home. Feeling nervous on this one because the Eakins previous designer was none other than Sarah Richardson, (tough shoes to fill!) we updated the palette and combined a west coast modern meets art deco vibe in the furnishings for this gorgeous 1970's home. Walnut floors, horizontal walnut grain slab kitchen cabinetry, quartz hearths, travertine cladding, honed slate entry, concrete fireplace, soft green-gray paint throughout gives this home an amazing warmth and simplicity. It hugs you when you enter, and you'll never want to leave! Working with Ingrid was an absolute dream. Thanks guys, this project was totally awesome for me to be a part of. Thank you,
