Contemporary Southend Brownstone
This project was for a couple in their early 50's with 2 college aged boys. They returned to their old roots of the Southend of Boston. The change from a lovely suburb of Boston to the city was exhilarating. Their new brownstone presented them with vertical living on 3 floors with 2 roof decks. Although the footprint of the rooms were not large, their new home met all their requirements - a spacious kitchen & dining area, a first floor living room, and a second floor casual family room with 3 bedrooms.
Having worked with them for the past 20 years, Hamilburg Interiors guided them through this change as their design style had become more modern. A curved sofa and chairs on the first floor gave the room an airy look to the space. The dining room set and several other pieces were recycled to fit their new vision. All in all, they are very happy with the end product giving them a soothing and cool space.
