Contentment Island

This contemporary coastal home was essentially a new build, constructed on the footprint on an existing home. The owners wanted a custom, low-maintence summer home they could use to entertain family and friends all year long.

The bright, two-story entrance is both beautiful and functional. An overhang was seamlessly built into the roofline. Oversized brackets and a modern chimney give the home's exterior a contemporary edge.

The back of the home was finished with an expansive stone patio. Bracket detailing were carried through from the front of the house. Several sitting areas were created to give the owners ample spaces to congregate with family and friends.

The owners wanted a sleek fireplace, but were conscious of budget. Faux paint was used above the concrete fireplace instead of ceramic tiles or another more costly material.
