the wood is Douglas fir, which we salvaged from a cannery in Kenai, Alaska

the planks are spaced a half-inch apart, to preserve the dock-like appearance

the steel legs are curved I-beams, and can be painted any color or finish

the bolts are galvanized matte, but other finishes are available
