Cornice Board

A cornice board is a constructed top treatment, a rigid structure most often made of plywood, sometimes with shaping on the face, and usually mounted above the window frame. It can be painted, or padded and covered with fabric. It can serve as a support for an elaborate top treatment such as swags or stationary panels, or it may simply serve as a covering for drapery rigging.
