This kitchen in the round, once popular in the 70's, was falling a bit flat on function for this active family. The odd angles and original placement of the refrigerator, actually made it impossible to open some of the drawers and impinged upon useable workspace to the right of the range. By building a new custom fit refrigerator cabinet and moving it to the end of the cabinet run, the kitchen not only feels bigger, but all the drawers and doors now open and there is more ample counter top work space. All other cabinets were refaced with new natural cherry shaker style doors and reveals were tightened up for a full overlay appearance. Once standard lower double cabinet doors were converted to large pull out drawers improving function. Adding granite counter tops, a mixed material mosaic backsplash and new hardware gave this kitchen a fresh and more modern look.
