On a bucolic 40-acre property in California, a family of 5 put down roots and went about creating a home that would become the one to keep forever. Californians are not known for making this kind of decision, and it is rare to find such a property to last through generations, but I think this one will. With that in mind, I was contacted to help them create a design to realize their dream. The project is still in the beginning stages of development, and it will progress.

The house is leaning to the American Craftsman style, which is, "a style developed out of the British Arts and Crafts movement going on since the 1860s," emphasizing handwork over mass production.
