This home was originally covered in wall-to-wall dark glossy maple hardwood. It was very striking, but for day to day living (with three young boys and 2 big dogs,) it became a living nightmare. Every footprint, water spot, piece of fluff and spec of dirt could be seen on that dark floor. But no damage was worse than the scratches from the two wonderful dogs. The client wanted to stay with hardwood because it looked warm and timeless, so we went with that concept but by using a wood-looking tile plank!
