Curts Kitchen Remodel
Ms. Curts was looking for a simple kitchen redo. She was not pleased with the color of her cabinets, countertops, the backsplash, or some of her appliances. She liked the layout of the kitchen which made her the perfect candidate for a kitchen face lift. The KB Interiors Team made a few key tweaks such as relocating the microwave, which allowed the opportunity to build a custom hood and create a beautiful focal point in the kitchen. She also had a lot of wasted space between the family room & kitchen so we extended the island with posts and painted it to look more like a furniture piece. Another key tweak we made was adding floating shelves above the fridge to fill the empty space & add another decorative element or focal point to the kitchen. Next we built new glass doors in the Butler’s Pantry. This broke up the heavy use of solid cabinet doors & added an opportunity for closed display storage. The last key tweak was to include Ms. Curts’ love for pops of color. We accomplished this with the red interior behind the glass doors, the red undermount Silgranite sink, & bronze metal accents. As an added bonus to the overall effect, we created a Chevron wainscot accent wall in the Dining room & painted a few other accent walls, entry door, & updated the main light fixtures. The end result is truly Beautiful!!
