Custom Contemporary
A full custom, new construction home located in Hayward, California, this 3400 square foot home features the best work thus far from Hermogeno Designs, a San Francisco based interior design firm. Owner and Principle designer Mark Hermogeno custom designed nearly everything from the kitchen’s maple cabinetry, select upholstered furniture pieces, bedding, window treatments, and even the Brazilian Cherry and stainless steel staircase.
When Mark first met with the clients, the couple expressed that they admired traditional, contemporary and modern design esthetics but were not sure how to combine the three elements. The couple had very few guidelines for their new home: cherry hardwood floors for the main level, a cook’s kitchen, metallic accents and a home that would wow anyone that walked through the front door. However, the designer had to clean up after the couple fired 2 previous designers and a general contractor disappeared after the framing went up.
