Custom Pool + Living Wall in Tierrasanta

This Tierrasanta project was essentially a blank slate design in which the design team was able to create every element specifically for this site. This project features a new Ipe deck surrounding a custom pool and spa, shade structures, and new creative planting.
Custom Pool and Spa
This Tierrasanta project featured a child's play area with a modern twist that will be able to grow into a usable patio space in the future. The shade sails are an alternative way to provide shade, while also providing geometry and layering in the design.
The Perfect Spot For Your Kids Outdo
Observing local pool safety codes, Eco Minded Solutions installed a self-latching glass wall as the required fencing. This is a seamless way to provide safety without visually interrupting design.

A tranquil pool in Tierrasanta has a unique vertical green-wall backdrop, along with perimeter planting that will soon grow to screen the area. Another shade structure is featured along the back side of the pool to balance out the others located on the opposing side of the yard.
Living Wall
This Tierrasanta home received a face-lift and a brand new curb appeal with new plantings, driveway, and entry way. The home owners also installed a new stone veneer for added texture and solar panels to save on energy.

The sky reflects off of this spacious pool and spa in Tierrasanta. The deck spread across the yard providing many open sitting areas and lounge areas. A playful lawn beyond the transparent glass safety barrier balances out the hardscape of the foreground.
IPE Deck
New poured in place concrete pads, with integral colored concrete, are broken up with natural loose pebble banding. This serves a creative way to prevent cracking in the concrete. The coolness of the gray concrete is contrasted by the adjacent naturally warm Ipe pool deck.
Relax By The Pool
This pool deck in Tierrasanta offers ample space for entertaining and relaxing. Young palms in the background will soon tower over to frame the entire space, and plating along the edges will grow to soften the hardscape.

The back doors of this home open up into an extended living space. The new patios provide ample room for child’s play and outdoor dining. The shade sails provide shade for these areas, as well as protecting the indoors from direct sun.

A new entry way was pulled from the sidewalk along the street. New platings that are low maintenance and drought tolerant. The entry is also framed by two pillars, which connect to a new Redwood fence that creates a small entry courtyard.
