Dated old house
This home was dark and dated. The home featured four bedrooms and two bathrooms. But that was the only thing that was good about it. The dark exterior brick made the Home fade away into his background. A white-washed was done to the bricks and then each brick was painted by hand to give it color. I then painted the siding a dark brown to get rid of the yellow siding that used to be there. The back upper cabinets in the kitchen were removed and a large window was added. I added large pantry cabinets to take up for the loss cabinetry. There was also an additional large pantry already in place . The main bathroom was guttted and the half shower was replaced with a full shower. The old bathtub was replaced with a beautiful soaking bathtub. Unique light fixtures were featured in this bath. I also went with large 24”x 24“ tile in white to make the bathroom feel brighter and more open because it lacked a window due to an earlier addition. The large window in the back family room was replaced by a large gas fireplace. Two large windows were cut in on either side of the fireplace to keep the light coming into the space. A feature walls was added in the now dining room to give interest to that space. And in the master bedroom ,a private master deck for that morning breakfast and coffee. Every room in the house has been renovated including HVAC, some electrical, new central air, and new light fixtures. I went with a mid century modern design. I use warm lighting to create an amazing ambience in the home. The garage was also updated with new lighting. The beauty this home really comes through at night when the light from the inside can be seen from all the windows and glow that they gave off against the espresso siding.
