A new deck was built using pressure treated wood along with improvements and structural changes. Originally the old deck was bolted to what they thought was the rim joist of the house. After removing the existing deck it was found that the wood was just placed between the joists, this is structurally unsound; an accident or worse just waiting to happen. With new footings, post base’s, 6x6 posts, beams, bolts and other hardware installed, the new deck is properly constructed and support’s the new deck over all there will be no more worries. With the stair case resting on a new concrete pad, 36” high rail and a new gate this family will enjoy the extension of their home for many years to come.
