Client contacted iki with the goal of having a new Outdoor Oasis! They were having a new deck built and once hired primarily to assist in selecting furnishings, lighting and layout for the new dining & lounge/seating areas, input was provided during the deck construction phase with dimensions for the new privacy screen & the step down to the main deck space (from the upper BBQ area). In order to maximize the available space where the BBQ would be located, iki suggested adding a corner countertop (food prep area), which the client appreciated.

Flow & ease of movement from the dining area to the lounge/seating area was achieved through space planning, furniture dimensions & overall colour palette. The addition of a fun on-trend oversized hanging egg chair, comfortable deep seated sectional with additional decorative pillows, a gas fire pit for ambiance, light and warmth for cooler nights, and fabulous outdoor pendant fixture (rechargeable/led/portable), decorative planters that help tie all finishes together, bring interest to the space and help complete the overall look.

At the completion of the project, my client was thrilled; which is the goal to iki's sublime modernity!
