Deerfield Residence
This young and active family had outgrown their existing home and needed to expand. The project consisted of a gut rehab of all interiors, and a new addition that wrapped the original house, giving the house brand new facades, and additional square footage. The home owner musicians regularly transport harps to and from their house, so they had some additional requirements for the renovation- protected passage from the garage into the house for the harps, and a dedicated music room. The covered connection between the house and garage created delightful and intricate exterior spaces and views, and the music room has a raised floor and large framed connection to the living room, doubling as a stage for concerts.
