For this kitchen remodeling project, we transformed an outdated farmhouse kitchen into a warm, functional space that blends classic character with modern performance. The homeowners selected new shaker doors in a rich brown oak wiping stain from our Kitchen Solvers Legacy Collection, bringing natural depth and timeless style to the room.
To maximize storage and create a more finished look, we removed the existing soffits and extended the cabinetry all the way to the ceiling. Because the home’s original structure had significantly out-of-level ceilings, we custom-designed double-stacked crown molding to ensure a seamless, polished transition.
Ventilation was a major concern in the original kitchen, so we installed a new vent hood over the island, dramatically improving airflow and overall cooking comfort. The space was completed with elegant Calacatta Coloma quartz countertops and a 3” x 12” Raku White Gloss backsplash, adding brightness and subtle texture that beautifully balances the warmth of the cabinetry.
The result is a thoughtfully designed kitchen that honors the home’s history while delivering modern functionality and style.
