This deck was a disaster waiting to happen.
The oversized footings were pushing up and lifting the entire deck off of the ground. It became to dangerous to use.
We removed everything and created a double decker 3 season porch with a nice deck and patio as well as a pad for thr saune. The lower porch is the perfect work out room and the upper is a cozy sunroom with a gas fireplace. The porch and deck are now sitting on helical piers which are immune to frost heave. We also ran all gutters into a drain tile system that runs to a french drain out back and keeps the backyard beautiful and dry.
