Downsizing Before and After

Moved from a fairly large house with tons of storage into 2 bedroom condo. Had two large PODS 16' long to empty. I am very proud of the after photos when I thought this was going to be an impossible project.

Clutter can begin to take over when you keep every little thing that is "cute" or "odd". When you move to a smaller space, you find that these things are a bother and work hard to solve this problem while it seems so overwhelming.

Odd sized kitchen replaced full dining room. Need to make space for both storage, eating and food prep. There is about 1/8 the size of storage space. Furniture placement will be critical.

18 cabinet doors with shelves, a pantry, 6 drawers has now become 8 cabinet doors with shelves and 4 drawers. What to keep? What is nicest and I use the most... Unpacking is not for sissies.

I counted and I've got 13 chairs. I cherish them all... what to do? Some are family pieces, some I bought but I don't think I can part with all but maybe one. ;-/ oh my!!

final touch was adding traditional sheers and drapes on distressed rods. First floor room needed privacy.
