A simple palette of materials is used externally to create a very striking dwelling that differs from the normal country house yet keeping in character with the traditional vernacular farmhouse The site itself is within a very rural location and was restrictive in size with a 1:2 gradient with fantastic views over the local area. The clients brief along with the site constraints steered us towards this contemporary design.
