Eaglerock is a mid-century modern marvel. Originally built in 1960, this home is one of only a handful in the Atlanta area, and is a part of an enclave of mid-century modern homes located in the northeast corner of Atlanta.

As you can see from the before photos, very little had changed since its construction in 1960, and the home actually still had the original owner prior to us coming in! The construction, though simple, was extremely sturdy and beautiful. It consisted of post and beam framing in which the support elements in the ceiling were exposed and ran through the entirety of the home; both interior and exterior. Board and batten wood siding and a tar gravel roof were also characteristic features of this and several other houses in the neighborhood.

Our goal with the project was to maintain and accentuate the characteristic features of the structure, while modernizing the interior with a more open/usable floor plan, better finishes, and modern appliances/fixtures. All on an ultra-tight budget.
