This new house with central courtyard was designed in collaboration with James Gauer. To maximize the site plan on the small lot, the detached garage and drive court are located adjacent to the street, providing a buffer to the gated entry courtyard beyond. The 2-story house has a front stepped loggia providing covered outdoor living space and an upstairs balcony off the two bedrooms. It was a featured 'House of the Month' in Architectural Record.
