This is the first home in Delaware certified by the US Green Building Council. The wood planked walls highlight the exceptional pine flooring, which came from a local monastery, nail holes and all. The kitchen features a gorgeous soapstone countertop with a coffered ceiling and tumbled marble backsplash. The grandchildren’s bedroom is covered in pine and stained natural, reminiscent of old pine walls in traditional beach houses. During construction, 90% of all material was used and 96% was recycled.
