Edgeview Master Bathroom
After designing and renovating this Midlothian couples' kitchen, they asked us back to design and renovate their master bathroom. The existing bathroom had very dated fixtures and finishes as well as an enclosed shower and water closet, making the space seem very cramped and dark. Our design suggested a fresh new color palette as well as updated fixtures and unique features. We took down the wall which allowed us to open up the shower and showcase a striped tiled design. We used a "marble looking" porcelain tile to give a luxurious aesthetic that would be very durable for a shower application. The existing tub was a shallow insert that was resting on a platform. The platform was taking up precious space and the tub was not ideal for soaking. We replaced this with a clean-lined acrylic tub that's not only great for a bubble bath, but is a focal point of the new bathroom. We replaced the old linoleum with a tile that looked like hardwood floors to ground this light and airy space. In addition, we provided a custom vanity, countertop and beaded board that all reflect the houses' traditional setting. The finishing touches were a fresh coat of paint and a lovely, custom shade to tie it all together.
