This urban uptown loft was designed to blend the lifestyles of a young urban couple. Created from a raw shell in a new high rise structure, the goal was to maximize living spaces through an open floor plan and innovative design features to disguise utilitarian aspects of living. Although a modern aesthetic lead the design direction, an organic blend of forms and finishes create a tactile experience throughout. A juxtaposition of large, masculine massing such as stone and wood are contrasted with delicate details of mosaic tile and patterned wallpapers. The furnishings embraced the client's desire for both a modern, clean viewpoint with a handmade "collected" appointments to create a vibrant blend of sleek and modern, and rustic and rugged.
