This backyard faces southwest. The Boiling Springs, South Carolina homeowners had a small concrete pad and needed a larger covered space to enjoy dinners and watching their children play in the backyard.

Palmetto Outdoor Spaces enlarged the existing concrete pad, added a grilling pad, added a gable shingle roof, and enclosed the sides with 85% UV Block Solar Screens that retract via a press on a handheld remote. This lovely couple and their children now enjoy dinners on their covered enclosed porch. During milder temperature days, mornings, and early afternoons the solar screens are retracted to allow easy access to the yard. The children run to and fro without the sound of a slamming patio screen door or confinements of permanent screen walls.

When the solar screens are down the family enjoys the cooler environment without the threat of pesky mosquitos. They also appreciate the daytime privacy the screens provide, but allow for a clear view to the yard. Exiting the enclosed space is easy through the veritable retractable CearView doors located near the grilling area.
