Entry /Foyer

This foyer which runs from front to back of the entire house is an open space and needed to be tied in visually to the five rooms ( dining room, music room, family room, home office, kitchen) it opened onto. It need to act as transition and glue to all these spaces.

The double height front entry opens to the right and left into a dining room and the music room, seen here. The family was musical, and the room contained not only an excellent grand piano, but also other instruments played by the growing children.
