Entryway mural
Title: Flow
This 13' glass mosaic mural was added to the entryway of a home in the Pocket District, Sacramento. Stucco contractors left the space for the mural and I came along afterwards and added the mural. 95% of the handwork is done in my studio. Installation took about 25 hours over the course of a week. Made of stained glass, stones, gems, ceramic, Italian millefiore, beads, jasper, turqoise, tempered glass. Subject of mural is the changing seasons along the American and Sacramento rivers. In the center strip you can find spirals in four different season-related color schemes as well as flowers/foliage. This strip is surrounded by the colors of the watersheds, done in tempered glass and unglazed porcelain tile.
