Form, function and a spa aesthetic were the driving forces behind the design of Evolve’s new flagship physical therapy location in Brooklyn, New York. The flagship office is their third location in Brooklyn and they will be opening additional locations throughout Manhattan.

The reception's warm, light oak flooring and crisp, white walls welcome clients and give a glimpse of the gym and treatment area through the black glazing double doors. A custom-designed monolithic marble reception desk with virtual assistant check in grounds the signature signage above. Down the hall, the changing room charcoal feature wall catches the eye with LED edge lit doors, creating a moody destination. Inside, charcoal grey walls are accented with brass hooks, hardware, floor length mirror and tan leather stools with brass details. Each of the four bathrooms showcase vertical white- glazed subway tiled walls with black grout. Arcadia Heartwood Oak tile floors add warmth to the bathrooms and a banana leaf ceiling wallpaper adds a pop of lush green to the spaces. A white trough sink and modern mirror in black compliment the other black hardware throughout.

The new expansive therapy & gym area accommodates 25+ clients. Charcoal ceilings create an intimate feel and moody atmosphere. Oversized, matte-black dome pendants with brass interiors add a modern juxtaposition to the lush faux green grass turf underfoot. Columns clad in smoked mirror create a connection with the charcoal ceiling and add a luxe vibe. Floor to ceiling mirrors double the space visually, while providing functional workout visualization. A freestanding custom Hydroculator island creates a central space for staff to work on their computers, while also offering discrete, concealed central storage space for hot and cold packs. Floor to ceiling windows allow daylight to flood the space and nurture the large Bird Of Paradise plants throughout, providing a peaceful and soothing environment with the conventions of Biophilic and Restorative Design in mind.
